  1. I would like to provide feedback regarding my Lifeline experience this past weekend.
    My 88 year old mother in law was out in a public place and fell.
    Lifeline noted her fall and called her. She and her friend provided the information several times through the “speaker” system.
    The respondents were very confused and after 10 minutes of this back and forth discussion, a passerby called 911 and she was immediately taken to ER.
    I called Lifeline to follow up and this is what I was told that unless the person at the under end of the call can respond, THEY do not call EMS/911.
    How astonishing this was to my mother in law and family. We have secured and paid for this resource for almost 2 years with the understanding that Lifeline would be there an notify the appropriate Emergency Services as we live 3.5 hours away.
    After a long discussion, I was able to speak with a Supervisor who then advised me that if she had the HOME button, which is different than the other Button, then guess what if she fell, didn’t respond then EMS would be called.
    My advice- don’t use them. It’s a waste of money and no value.
